Safety Series: Ladder Safety

Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

SBCA in Partnership with AZ Safety presents:

Ladder Safety

One misstep. One shortcut. One unstable ladder.

That's all it takes for a serious injury—or even a fatal fall—on the jobsite.

Ladder-related accidents continue to be one of the construction industry's most preventable hazards. In 2025, ladder violations ranked as OSHA's #3 most-cited safety violation, with 2,405 violations issued nationwide and more than 150 fatalities.

Join the Santa Barbara Contractors Association for this important safety training and learn how to identify ladder hazards, prevent falls, and keep your crews safe on every jobsite.

This seminar is ideal for safety managers, supervisors, foremen, and field personnel who use ladders as part of their daily work. Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills covering:

  • Common ladder hazards
  • Ladder selection and types
  • Inspection and maintenance requirements
  • Safe climbing and working practices
  • Factors that contribute to falls
  • OSHA requirements and prohibited uses
